Choose Your App for Mac

Truple is evolving into two specialized apps, and our new Mac app comes in both flavors. Your existing Truple account works with both apps — there's no need to create a new account or change your billing. When you set up screenshot accountability on a Mac, you can choose between the two.

ScreenKin - For Parents & Families

Set up monitoring for your child's Mac with ScreenKin.

Best Accountability - For Individuals

Build personal accountability and overcome pornography and other detrimental online habits.

Set up accountability on your Mac with Best Accountability.

Both apps capture the same screenshots, report to the same account, and offer the same powerful accountability features you trust from Truple. Today the difference is the name, the icon, and wording tailored to how you'll use it.

Going forward, new features in each app will be built for that app's audience — ScreenKin's enhancements will focus on parents monitoring their children, and Best Accountability's will focus on individuals working to overcome pornography and other detrimental online habits. So pick the app that matches your situation. You can always uninstall and switch later if your needs change.

About the new Mac app

The new Mac app has been rebuilt from the ground up. It offers:

• Better stability — far fewer crashes and hangs
• Better performance, especially on Apple silicon Macs (M1 and newer)
• A built in updater, so future features, improvements, and bug fixes arrive automatically
• A more helpful built in user interface that shows you what's happening on the device
• A much simpler install process

The new Mac app is a full release, and it's the version we recommend for all installs. If you run into any issues, please open a support ticket from app.truple.io.

Running an older version of MacOS?

The new Mac app requires MacOS 15.6 (Sequoia) or newer. To check your version, click the Apple menu in the top left hand corner of the screen, then select About This Mac.

If your Mac can be updated to MacOS 15.6 or newer, we recommend updating MacOS first and then installing ScreenKin or Best Accountability.

If your Mac can't be updated that far, the final version of the original Truple Mac app is available as a compatibility option. Follow the Setup Guide for older versions of MacOS, which has the download links for:

• MacOS 10.15 (Catalina) through MacOS 15.5
• MacOS 10.13 (High Sierra) and 10.14 (Mojave)

Please note:

• The original Truple Mac app has been sunset and no longer receives updates, so app updates must be disabled after installing it.
• It isn't notarized by Apple, so MacOS blocks the installer from opening the normal way. The steps to get around that depend on your version of MacOS.
